I’m thinking there should be a new and improved word for “thanks,” since that doesn’t seem big and bright enough to give to you in exchange for all you’ve done for Farm Sanctuary, and for the animals. For the lack of a better word, let me start by just that, then: THANK YOU, Lisa!

You went above and beyond what anybody thought possible—donating food to feed all 440 participants in this year’s NYC Walk for Farm Animals. The Walk for Farm Animals—of which you are our lead sponsor—is a vital fund and awareness-raiser for Farm Sanctuary, the nation’s leading farmed animal protection organization.

We needed a vegan cake due to a bunch of different food allergies, and a small selection of gluten free treats for our bridal party. Lisa made both items perfectly, our cake was an amazingly rich, moist dark chocolate cake with raspberry filling and coconut buttercream. We’re still receiving compliments from our guests about how good the cake was. The best man had gluten-free green tea cupcakes with ginger buttercream frosting. He came over to me at the end and insisted I try the buttercream. It was amazing. He’s in sugar heaven right now with the leftovers.

Beyond everything being delicious, it was so incredibly personalized to us. We had blue as our wedding color, but didn’t want anything frilly. We were after cute and whimsical, but really didn’t know what to do. Lisa took our thoughts and made them into a 4 tiered water blue cake with little modeled penguins surfing and sliding all about it. It was darling! I think our guests took more photos of the cake than they did anything else!

So Lisa, again I have to thank you. Our wedding just wouldn’t have been the same without your sweet finishing touches.

I stopped by your booth yesterday at the Brewster Farmers’ Market and was delighted with my purchase of the “golden” cupcake and the tiered apricot, marzipan tri-color cookies. After leaving the market, I stopped at a deli in Somers to get a bagel and I saw those treats there and they looked awful,  just as you said the ones in the store were made with shortening.

Anyway, I loved, loved, loved both of the treats I bought and will buy again.

She absolutely loved the cookie monster and we tried to sing in his voice =). It just looked amazing and we marveled over your creation for quite some time before cutting into your hard work.

I know I gave you vague ideas but I knew from your website you were the pro and it surely showed in this cake.

Again, thank you for a magnificent cake and going above and beyond to deliver it when you were feeling horrible. I look forward to working with you for a side cake at the “future” wedding for the gluten frees in the room.

The cake is amazing- Ross and I can’t wait to put the figures on it and then we’ll take some pictures. The cake itself won’t last long!

It is so hard to work and not be able to do things the way you want to for the kids. You have become my birthday hero, and I can’t thank you enough!

Everything looks great, and Donovan is psyched. When your husband left, Donovan said, “Hey, I didn’t get to give the man a hug.”

Just wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks for the incredible job you did in preparing goodies for HHLT’s holiday open house. Everything was delicious and the wonderful variety – from deliciously homey chocolate chip cookies to decadent chocolate nut toffee to tasty mini cupcakes dusted with 23kt. gold! – had our guests back to the buffet table again and again to try it all. Your handcrafted lollipops were a hit with both adults and kids (especially my kids!). Thank you so much for your beautiful work…again!!

You gave us so much, that we all took doggie bags home and are still enjoying your treats. You may be VERY busy after this, I think every guest took your card and vowed to call you.

Your cake design was just as spectacular, as my daughter was, for her Sweet 16 Party!

I found you one Saturday at the Farmer’s Market in Brewster, NY and saw your stand to be very inviting. I struck up a conversation with you and discovered that you are a very warm and caring person and that you make the most delicious treats too! I was planning my daughter’s sweet 16 birthday and was not going to settle for anything but “THE BEST”. This is what we found in you!

You talked with my daughter and me at length to search our minds to see what her dreams and ideas were. You were kind and patient as anyone could be with a soon to be 16 year old teenager. Yes, she did change her mind often, as they so do, but you were able to look into her mind a visualize what she was wishing for. You have such a fantastic style and creativity about you that is so pleasing to all with your sweet creations. You had asked if you could also have a creative license with the cake and we let you work your magic.

When it came to the big day for my daughter’s birthday she was so very happy. You tied in all of the elements from her party into this magnificent cake, from the different flavors of the cake and fillings, to the beautifully mastered artwork. When our guests were arriving, the first thing that was presented to them, was this stunning masterpiece that they were all going to sink their teeth into. Finally, it was time to cut the cakes and all you could hear were people smacking their lips just waiting to taste it. There was not one unsatisfied guest at the party!

Thank you so very much for adding your sweet confections to a wonderful time that we will never forget!

I absolutely adored the starfish cookies and the great white! Flavor-wise…The starfish are a fudgy shortbread? GREAT flavor… do I also detect nutmeg in the great white?
